Ugh. This guy. He's still at it with his crazy bad hot take on that mask study.🙄https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/940254 …

Whether I agree with @drjohnm or not (BTW I do), I am disappointed that an educated person would refer to a colleague's opinion as "crazy." It is beneath us to turn a healthy debate into an adversarial discussion. Different paths but same destination>>public health.

I believe the crazy label refers to John's bogus take that no one actually believes masks are harmful. He's literally in denial about science denial, which is a very ivory tower perspective and one that is utterly useless when trying to debunk misinformation.

Come on Dan. Please. Did you read my essay? I addressed my unforced error on Twitter. And if you think I am in an ivory tower, well, I am tempted to write something ungracious.

Tone policing always wins over those you're criticizing. 🙄

Well it’s also disingenuous. You said “crazy bad”, not “crazy take”. You were using, for better or worse, crazy as a modifier of an adjective. So, tone policing with (willful?) misreading

Looks to me like "crazy" is a being used as a descriptor for the word "bad", here. Just like stopping the vote count at this point would be a crazy bad strategy for the tRump campaign.
