Veg rejected by supermarkets destined for cattle feed on a friends farm. If we stop eating meat what will happen to this waste veg? What about wheat that doesn’t make milling grade, barley with too much N for malting and holey beans that people won’t eat??

These apples have been left to rot because they are too BIG for supermarkets and the profit margins are too small. It’s cheaper to leave them than to pay pickers to collect them. And this my friends is just one of the reasons why humanity is in crisis.

"Cows that had been given names produced 258 more liters of milk" Sure, destocking ~10% can increase milk production, maintain profitability, decrease N and GHG excretions. But crucially, it makes it easier to name the remaining cows 😂
