    2. It’s way easier to stop thinking about code at the end of the day than it is to stop thinking about humans. Be intentional about work/life balance; it will look and feel very different.

    1. Let go of the individual contributor role. You can’t do it all. You can stay close to the tech without writing all the code. Find ways to feed this if you must (proof of concept work, minor uninteresting stories that won’t be blockers if you can’t get to it, etc)

    I have already lost track of the temper tantrum count just for this morning. Some triggers included not being able to turn the coffee pot “all the way around” and the “toilet paper touching the pee”. Two year olds are a special kind of exhausting.

    For the holidays at , our executives cook us breakfast and it is all kinds of delightful. I just walked into the office, grabbed a plate of food, and was offered a mimosa and coffee by a VP. Aaaaand now we get to listen to our very own holiday band. Yes please.
