Updated my instance to 4.0.0rc2... broke things for a minute when the folder permissions didn't allow the precompile step to work. But it's all good now... phew...
Social relationships do not scale. I think that’s what we’ve learned in the last ten years of social media. Adding more people doesn’t make a community better, it dilutes it until it becomes mostly bickering. That’s why I think smaller, focused networks like Mastodon (1/2)

amiantos.net/products/ Personally, I'm largely a video game addict (PC/Xbox), and music aficionado. Currently playing #persona 5, Modern Warfare 2, and #Overwatch 2. Listening to the new Meat Wave, Gilla Band, and Dry Cleaning albums. (2/2)

Just for fun… my wife and I at a wedding this past weekend. Fun fact: I had to edit this photo to remove a fly that was going past my nose at this exact moment.

So if anyone is curious, my Mastodon instance is running on a t3a.small EC2 Ubuntu instance; free tier RDS postgres instance for the database; S3 + Cloudfront for storage; SES for outgoing emails. It took a bit to get set up but I feel pretty good about it (1/2)

Well, now I just have to figure out how to find people to follow on Mastodon... who do I follow on Twitter that is now on Mastodon?

There was a point in my life where I thought Teslas were cool and aspired to own one. I'm at a point now where I could easily buy a Tesla, but I definitely never will now. What a joke.
Just watched Barbarian. I really wasn’t prepared for the big twist ending, when you go on Google and find out it was directed by one of the Whitest Kids U Know guys. Sorry for the spoilers.
HOW ARE TAB GROUPS IN SAFARI STILL THIS BUGGY? WHAT IS GOING ON AT APPLE? SORRY FOR SHOUTING BUT THIS IS FRICKIN' RIDICULOUS. Such a good feature that is completely ruined by frustrating bugs around tab creation and movement.
Recently discovered someone had been using one of my old gmail addresses as their personal account for years. It wasn’t until they changed the recovery email that I got notified. Got my account back and now this person is locked out of what they thought their email was. So weird.

Only took a little bit to get used to 40 FPS in Plague Tale Requiem. Gorgeous game. I hate stealth games though, but I am sticking with it because of how beautiful it is.
Quick Resume WOULD be this great if it actually worked with online connected games. Quick Resuming into Persona 5 and not being able to re-connect to the online stuff is very annoying.

Quick Resume is also one of the best features to ever be implemented in any video game system ever. This feature is revolutionary. To me, next-gen consoles are about more than next-gen games. I think the culmination of these features provides an overall next-gen experience.

Finished Scorn on Xbox today. Really insanely beautiful and gross work of art. Sure, the combat was rough, but never truly frustrating, and I can’t say it didn’t add some genuine fear to the game that was otherwise lacking. But overall, it belongs in a museum as a walking sim.

Gotta wonder how many negative takes on Stage Manager, excluding the bugginess in the betas, is just because of this. If you go into it with expectations of being able to micro-manage your windows, it seems like you just don't understand Apple's design ethos with iOS.

It would be nice if the video used Stage Manager as it is meant to be used and didn't focus almost fully on the guy getting upset about not being able to size and arrange the windows manually. That doesn't mean Stage Manager is bad, it just isn't full window management.
