Reading it now. Another thought: The post-boomer boys grew up absent a tribal right of passage to manhood: War. (Sad but I believe true.) We as a society did not provide a replacement accomplishment for boys going to war & coming back men (damaged men, but)..

It feels like the perfect storm of many contributing factors, but I think the central premise in both articles is that we (society) focused so much on girls (RIGHTFULLY SO!) while losing focus on boys. The way we're raising boys hasn't evolved with the rest of society. I'm not
