A marine archaeologist friend & I joke about having so many different things we want to investigate/write that we could fuel theses for at least 30 grad students.

It is both the lure (you can do anthying in Arch/Anthro) and the curse (I turn everything I enjoy into work by researching it too much)

I’m actually doing Holocaust Archaeology now. Researching my great aunt’s death in the Nazi Euthanasia programs.

Being curious about the totality of human experiences is what anthropology is all about! Although it feels scattered and unfocused, you are an exceptional archaeologist for seeking understanding beyond the confines of a single sub-discipline. Well done!

Not just you. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do for my dissertation and keep jumping from topic to topic. I’m fairly certain on Viking runes at the moment but that may change again

-
Hahaha my advisor gave me an excellent advice - pick a topic where you can graduate within three years. Because if you wanna pursue more - just get a PhD or do your own studies (which is what I’m doing so she is right after all
