Open question: why do you think politicians find it so convenient to use mental illness as insult? I know it's not just politicians. What I want to know is, is there a special attraction politicians feel towards words denoting mental illness while taking on their opponents? Why?
We as people have stigma towards illness to extent that we see people with mental illness as laughing stock. That’s why such comments are successful in achieving insult. If we change perception then remarks will be rendered ineffective.
