Is it? I don't find it any of those things. It's prose, certainly. It's complicating the simple concept of what it means to be black and an idol. I am neither, but this perspective makes sense, and helps me get my head around Kanye without revering him or condemning him.

He's brings up his own minute of stardom and talks about what it means to be more than yourself, in oppression. I can use my imagination and empathy to understand that, but I'll never fully grasp that meaning.
