A senior White House official is disputing this story & claims to me that Kushner is 'supportive' of the policy.
Per my reporting, Kushner is supportive of an incredibly stripped back version of what POTUS tweeted about last night and what immigration hawks have been pitching for the last week. Not the temporary ban as it was envisioned.
Most likely this *is* the original version. All the rest is manufactured drama to redirect blame from POTUS.
It's pretty clear they are one and the same at this point.
Fire up the base with pretend action and tweets, while Kushner runs cover and protects corporate and foreign interests.
