Here's a problem: Guns are being used to regularly kill people. Here's a solution: Restrict access to those guns. It's been proven to work well in other countries. Hey, I'd love to cure cancer, too. But the solution to this problem is right in front of us.

Another way guns and cancer deaths are not the same- A lot of research goes into prostate cancer deaths and how to understand and manage it.

The purpose of guns is to kill. That is what they are designed to do. Why wouldn’t it make perfect sense to rethink our standards for a person owning a death machine?! Example: A lot of the gun-owners spewing threats on twitter should clearly not be allowed anywhere near a gun.

Well, it's one we can all have an immediate impact on.

Five years ago, cancer tried to kill me. I found myself a good doctor, and asked him to cut the cancer out, and keep on cutting until every bit of it was gone. Five years later: cancer's gone and I'm still alive. How 'bout we try that approach with guns?

I suppose ‘more die of heart break’ too...
