This is a result of the root problem which you didn’t address. The issue is funding. Republican’s have a money raising advantage - corporation’s and Churches. Democrats represent working individuals. This is why Beto donations avg less than $50.

Nothing has infuriated me more in the last decade than opening my ballot and seeing GOP candidates running unopposed. Nothing. If the Dems don't care, why should I?

And that’s Amanda’s point. Run for something!

Same in Kentucky. The Democrats don't want to spend money on Senate candidate even though McConnell has low approval. Because it's Yrump country.

This is so important. Dems have squandered their policy and political advantage to protect national incumbents at the expense of statehouses. Dems have so many other potential donors. But they’re always playing catch up to dig out of holes they never saw coming.

As someone trying to do progressive work in Idaho, I can attest to the accuracy of this article.
@amandalitman I would love an opportunity connect with you to talk strategy about Idaho. I know this is a long shot, but I’m still trying. Lmk if you want to connect. -
