Sad to hear of the passing of Balkrishna Doshi - one of India’s most renowned architects. I was lucky to interview him in 2018 for , after he became the 1st Indian to win the Pritzker Prize. He was 90, but incredibly lucid and generous w/ his time. His impact was immense.

There have been a couple of developments since I wrote this! First, we now use emissions budgets for our domestic targets with hard numbers (eg limited to 290 Mt over 2022-25), so less shady accounting there.
Did not know that NZ uses this sleight of hand, gross-net accounting, in factoring its climate emissions and making cuts seem deeper than they really are
