I don’t want to sound weird, but being a victim of sex trafficking as a teen has defined what I do as as an adult. I am not happy unless I am assisting other victims on one level or another. It just is what it is now.

My grandparents were asked not to bring me back to church after I asked the Sunday School teacher if Cain and Abel married their sisters. I was five.

I absolutely refused to participate in the stupid hand motions and sing along songs we were supposed to be learning in Sunday School & I sat on the stairs and glared at the congregation instead of degrading myself as a 5 year old.

When I was 7, my dad bought a convertible. We drove to pick it up. My brother and sister drove home in it with dad with the top down. Very exciting. I drove home with mom because I didn’t want her to be lonely. I guess I was sweet little boy.

At 5 I sat down infront of a display at a restaurant and refused to move until they dismantled the display and put the lobsters back in their tanks (they were just sitting there on big piles of ice..... I understood they were gonna get eaten, but that just seemed mean to me).
