I've tried other brands and this one does the best with the birds in my yard. The raccoons also like it quite a bit.

well im 3 stories up with a brick face so i think it'll be ok
but @CrawliesWithCri said that her suet usually goes fast during breeding season, so maybe that's what the issue is
Mine get "the cheapest available" Unless it's breeding season - it lasts a loooong time IN the feeder. If I cut it up & toss on platforms it lasts about 15 minpic.twitter.com/w6EdhEfOJt
I used to make my own before I quit feeing birds. Here's the recipe, it's not online where I found it anymore: 1/2 Cup shortening 1/2 Cup peanut butter 1 1/2 Cups stone ground cornmeal 1/4 Cup white or wheat flour (1/2)
Melt the shortening & pb together until they are smooth and liquid. Add the cornmeal and flour, mixing well. Allow the mixture to cool slightly to thicken, then pour it into molds or containers to use. Refrigerate or freeze suet until it is firm and you are ready to use it
Pacific Bird & Supply. My birds are picky, but love this stuff.
Suet from the butcher shop or meat dept. of the grocery store.
Wildlife Sciences (also called Suet Plus) Fruit & Nut or Woodpecker varieties. No dyes/fake flavorings either. I go through a ton of this and I have tons of woodpeckers...my flickers go gaga for it. C&S brand peanut or sunflower nuggets are good too.
C & S seems to work better than the other brands in my yard. I should make my own but...
