There is a very important deadline fast approaching in March. It’s the deadline handed to Congress by Trump when he terminated #DACA and it will decide the fate of nearly 800,000 #Dreamers.

What is #DACA and who are #Dreamers?
#DACA is short for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals—a program that allows young people brought to the US as children to live, study and work in the US. We call them the #Dreamers. #DreamActNow
#Dreamers’ applications go through a vetting process to ensure they aren’t a national security threat and applicants must be students, high school graduates, or have a GED. Only after this are #Dreamers eligible for work permits and, in some states, drivers licenses. #DreamActNow

Our president is holding nearly 800,000 #Dreamers hostage for a wall he promised during the campaign that will not make our nation safer. #DreamActNow
If the #DreamActNow doesn’t pass, #Dreamers’ legal status will expire in March. What happens if their status lapses? Under Trump’s immigration policies our #Dreamers may be deported from the only home they’ve ever known.
The Republicans have ignored the #Dreamers' humanity and the Democrats have lacked the courage to fight.
