You know what? I'm just going to say it... This absolutely is commentary on the Garrosh dialogue controversy. Regardless of what can be excused in a T for Teen rating, there is certain language that feels out of place in Warcraft.

Cataclysm has several questionable lines of dialogue that got through because not only has the staff almost entirely turned over, the structure of the teams have been changed. And recently, the right person asked the right person at the right time to review a line.

It is 100% within the rights of the current team to review dialogue for tone and whether it's appropriate for the game. And congratulations to all of the people raising pitchforks to keep a gendered insult in a game that has no other precedent for using it.

If you're really THAT upset, there are plenty of other games that still use language like that. But World of Warcraft has chosen that they will convey the same sentiments with words that fit in to THEIR world.

We *ALL* knew that when Anduin said, "By the Light" he was conveying the same exact emotion as "For Fuck's Sake" But one line fits in World of Warcraft. The other doesn't.

Since Cataclysm, if you quest through Silverpine Forest as horde, at some point, Garrosh says this to Sylvanas. It is a voice-acted line. It's being removed from the game after 10 years.pic.twitter.com/6pZXxrRYt9
