Uh, I didn't see any shortage of officers there. If you can send 3 or 4 squad cars & a dozen officers for a parking ticket, what shortage?

"Improperly mentored new officers" but then "Our officers are true professionals..." talk about an incoherent statement. Look, I was in a situation once where a person (not me) was tazed (twice) to get her to subdue and comply. I felt at the time it was the right call.

It was a chaotic situation that the police officers navigated as best they could in real time while trying to protect not just themselves, but also two children who were caught up in the mix. This statement is correct that we have an obligation to comply with police instructions

even if we disagree with the basic premise of why we were in a given situation. Where this statement falls far short is when police officers do cross the line, like they clearly did in this situation, they *must* be held accountable. What this police association fails to

understand, as way too many do, is by justifying the actions of their bad apples they are undermining their good officers. Stepping forward and saying we fucked up and unflinchingly taking the results of accountability would go a long way to making us feel better about those

The worst place to live in this country if you are a black male. Most segregated city in the country. Majority Black & Brown city with a majority white male police force. And they dont even live in the city they "protect". This is how things like the Sherman park riots happen..

This is true bullshit. There were no less than 6 officers responding to a situation that required the first officer to write a ticket for illegal parking. Period. ‘Understaffed?’ Give me a break!

Yet again, a union protecting incompetence rather than effectively leading its members. Admit when your members are wrong. Understaffed is a very interesting excuse considering there were 10 cops on the scene.

This is an example of where law officers have become Organized Crime Members.
