I have a set of channels I follow and honestly I’m a bad user since I rarely deviate from these, these are mostly tech (photo, video, 3dprinting) related, gaming content from a group of players or newscasts. …
Hey @TeamYouTube. I just thought I’d tell you that your “machine learning” “smart algorithm”… well it frankly isn’t.
If it was smart and did any kind of learning I wouldn’t be drowned in recommendations for the Paul brothers, JonTron and just about any drama ever.

I don’t care about other gamers than those I choose to watch, I don’t watch drama channels so the Pauls and the bearded drama cuck can go fornicate themselves in a corner. I don’t watch makeup tutorials (my beard gets in the way), and for flying fucks sake I AM NOT A NAZI!!

If your probably millions of dollars investment into machine learning was worth more that the copper in the servers hosting it it would have learned by now. I keep clicking them away, sorting them out and getting that message “we will tune your recommendations” and then…

The next morning I have at least six or seven new ones from THE EXACT CREATOR I SORTED OUT!! Your algorithm is that overly energetic, pasty smile, almost pantingly happy salesman at the store that follows you around even after you telling him you don’t need help…

If you really want to get engagement on videos and people watching ads between clips… let us choose for ourselves. Let us browse the shelves in peace and maybe rummage through the bargain bin for a while, stand some ways off in the corner so we can see you and we’ll ask for help

because unsolicited help is rarely helpful at all. So put your non-learning machine back in the box, give your not so smart algorithm a box of crayons and a coloring book and let the rest of us act like the adults we’re supposed to be. THAT would be helpful. Make it an opt-in

Oh. And also… giving me recommendations for the ex-partner in a highly publicized break up (including abuse) because I follow the other one…? Tacky. Very tacky.
