All the C code doesn't go away anytime soon, so there is still a need for good C education. Maybe it needs warning labels like packs of cigarettes though to prevent the youth from touching it? ;)

Right, but these books give the false perception that laymen can write C code without vulnerabilities, when "security experts" can't even do that. The writings of ironically have a net negative effect on security, but I guess he will get his commission.
