I miss actual silence.

Hey Jill. We miss silence too. Please sign BTA’s petition requesting more funding to tinnitus research, and ask all your friends and family to do so too. This is real opportunity to influence the government.https://www.change.org/p/matthew-hancock-mp-commit-more-funding-to-tinnitus-research …

#Tinnitus suffers, how do you distract ? -
walk around, do something different. The more i stress about it the worse it gets so I just try and get out of the stress loop

Exactly, it can be very tough sometimes but knowing there’s others who understand what we are going through helps

I have an under- pillow speaker to listen to Radio 4 for 15 or 30 minutes before I go to sleep. Without it the " silence" allows the tinnitus into my head and I can't help but listen to it.

I often find that if I've had a busy, loud day out and about its harder to get to sleep that night. Doing something to wind yourself down like this is good advice!

Lifelong issue for me. If I am busy the buzzing / hissing seems to fade, this is expected. I prefer not to listen to music or other distractions. The cinema visit is now impossible, sadly.

Sign the petition if you get a moment. Maybe a cure will one day be found. X
