Sex with a child has a name, doesn't it ? Or is that not a crime now ? We seem to have arrived at a time when the Police decide whether any law is one they CHOOSE to follow If not we get crass statements like this The Commissioner should be sacked, what defence is there ?

Not just sacked, but prosecuted. There is zero political will here, why?

What a depressing and woeful attitude towards vulnerable very young girls!

Do the police consider it not wrong if it is "child prostitution"?? That's an excuse for not looking into something they already knew about!

The age of consent, I believe, is 16. Therefore any child under the age of 16 is not old enough to agree to have sex with an adult. It can only therefore be rape, and anyone who doesn't understand that is unfit to have any job which involves the law and or child protection!
-
Well said Alan. You'd think it was obvious! The police were either following Islamic law, ignoring UK law and/or raping the children themselves, too.

Strange I thought child prostitution is still illegal isn't it ? and that in my book is still child abuse, what kind of people do we have in charge of our police forces?

This explains the thought processes senior police management went through. They thought child prostitution wasn't worthy of stopping because these were just poor white slappers
-
And who made them that way? Poor little kids didn't stand a chance
