No, I still think the weirdest thing about it has always been the premise that land gets votes- so the majority of citizens don't rule over the minority. As if it's fairer to let the minority win and rule over the majority!

It's flawed logic, because the EC dictates that the presidency is regularly decided by a handful of swing states. Here's a thought: if the Rural Real Americans have better ideas than the Coastal Elites, why don't they convince a majority of the merits of their ideas?
