When the police give into a crowd of demonstrators on one day, it lacks the moral authority to tell another crowd to disperse a couple of days later. All crowds are equal but some crowds are more equal than others

If Humza likes you then disobey the police, if he doesn't disperse. This is a Justice Secretary who doesn't understand the word justice

Some of my children live in London. Others in the north of England. Still others in Scotland. We all live in Britain. We won’t give that up.

The most impressive achievement of the campaign was Hen Hill persuading The Spectator to run an article which stated, apparently in all seriousness, that unity is bad for the UK and the best way to defeat the SNP is to field 3 identikit candidates against them in constituencies.

The Scottish Conservatives have handed the Airdrie and Shotts constituency to the Separatists. Just think about that...

Morning Anglo. Where are your outraged tweets informing the good people of Twitter that the Conservatives "cost us a seat" in Airdrie and Shotts last night? Here are the final vote totals to help you: SNP 10,129 46.4% Labour 8,372 38.4% Conservatives 2,812 12.9% Majority 1,757

The result in Airdrie and Shotts provides further proof that the main pro-UK parties' strategy of fielding 3 candidates in each constituency will never work. As long as Con/Lab/LD candidates stand in constituencies, the SNP will continue to win over 80% of seats contested.

Assumptions based on race/religion can be so embarrassing. I knew a guy in London, Matt, who was "into human rights". He got a lift from a taxi driver who said he was from Eritrea. Matt asked "Oh, are you seeking political asylum?" Cabbie replied "No, I'm a trainee accountant".

The two people detained are members of Glasgow's Sikh community. What is the relevance of Eid to Sikhs? I think you need to ask yourself hard questions about cultural stereotyping in the constituency you represent. You should issue apologies to the Muslim and Sikh communities.

As part of we contest by-elections to promote the UK, remove the constitution from devolved politics and will do so unless a unity candidate is agreed by the parties. A unity candidate would have won Airdrie & Shotts tonight, but tactical voting will not do it

Against those still attacking for splitting the vote: see below NB to : Call off the attack dogs Not a good look before, worse now that A4U was the main encourager of the tactical voting which denied SNP its overall majority
