recipe for soul feeling (roughly):
1. heart-piercingness
2. aliveness
3. rich inner life. internal concepts connected to a lot more concepts/feelings than usual
4. overwhelming compassion. people are worlds
5. responsiveness. world can evoke things in you

i don't think i have the cluster of things you listed. how do i know if a quale that i have in other circumstances is a soul quale

(also to be clear, i dont have all those things either, in normal state. just on a rare occassion something poignant triggers all of them at once)

i'm curious if there's a pattern in what music (or other stuff) causes the state

poignant things. usually music. sometimes an emotional expression on a face. once a weird thing about the sound of the good part of childhood that i always thought was an owl, but after learning it was actually a mourning dove, brain did oddly massive update cascade

the same, except I still haven't figured out what bird it really was because it's the wrong continent for mourning doves, maybe it really was an owl
ah cooool! glad someone shares this! it was so weird how one little fact change had such a large effect

the bird thing just kinda went from settled to not settled, but I had this experience for the sound of air raid sirens when I first read a chart about them and understood what the different signals meant [I remember being disappointed I'd never heard a nuke siren]

ohhhh me too, I think in Europe the bird usually responsible for this is the wood pigeon which is really pretty
