It's too much hassle contributing to Wikipedia. I have no idea how to "prove" I created images I submit. I resent assumption I'm a criminal.

back when I was a contributor, I used to slap "own work" on it and that was the end of it

Not policy today. Last time I submitted pictures (these: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearcey_i ) they were rejected until a human intervened
