There is a difference between stoicism and complacency, though. Either way, acceptance doesn't lead to funding.

so I suppose it's safe to say you chose another path (because one has limited time per day)

which is totally fine as a choice, even if you're against aging, because other needs may outweigh

but once that choice is taken, imo it's ok to self-modify because it can't mess with the decision anymore
