I'm used to anons and pseudons, communicating under legalnyms is uncomfortably direct and constricting

there's a certain comfortable personal distance that I can choose to close under a nym, I do not have that under a legalnym

in fact I expect legalnym identities to be less of a 'person' online because social coercion works better on them
