[serious] I don't know how many people realize this, but widespread adoption of micropayments a la would be an extremely big deal.

As it stands, sites that host offensive content (politics, porn) are limited in their growth by budget because they can't get ad money.

Note that porn advertisers and other sources of funding exist. But all of them are a pain for one reason or the other.
