❓ Developers: do you “see” and/or “feel” the structure of software systems? And, (research question!) how does this interact with aphantasia, i.e. visual imagery (in)ability? I do “see” and “feel” software architecture, but many devs are aphantasic; how does that work?

I'm more the opposite of aphantasic as far as I can tell, but I don't really involve visualization at all when programming - my closest quale to navigating code is climbing around in a (cramped) machine room
