Rough working notes: "Maps of Matter":
Conversation
Started with a whimsical question: can I create an single, universal map of matter?
Turns out that didn't work so well - it's too complicated! But it was fun to try, and did yield a (much more limited) diagram.

It's also a (very) optimistic exploration of the question: what does it mean for physics that we're getting closer to a theory of all the fundamental particles and fields? Will physics end? No more so than computer science ended with its theory of everything (the Turing machine)!

Less whimsically, the underlying question here is something like: what new types of matter are possible when you design from the fundamental laws up?
I don't have a very good grasp (at all) of the question, and wrote the notes to improve my thinking a (tiny) bit.
