there are reasons other than dysphoria to keep one's wallet name private, and I think everybody (including, yes, transpeople) has the right to do that, and we should uphold a culture in which those who violate that right get shunned

Ok? Once again i will merely point out that siskind is now happily using his wallet name, and not, eg, telling people that actually he prefers to go by scott alexander, if they don't mind, so i don't feel like I'm violating any important social norm.

I think what you meant to say is that you know that he self-described his motivations in that manner. I'm about as inclined to trust him on this as i am to trust whatever right wing commentator most recently went on national news to complain about being cancelled.
