Interesting that to create an AGI is ultimately to create something that can become a lumper or a splitter. Which natural general intelligence (NGI) is more qualified to do that? One positioned as a lumper or as a splitter...?

I would expect it to be both, the whole point of the distinction is that there's no single best way, people try to achieve good problem domain fit but their problem domains may look very different from each other's
