also 'tech bros' are most likely not to blame for this, as far as I know/can tell, the chatbot just reflects established practice and that's the safest choice; blame the doctors

I'd honestly rather let a doctor than a techie be the judge of my diagnosis, and even slightly outdated "established practice" should outperform most techies

there's the question of whether using machines is a good idea at all, and I'll reserve my judgment on that, but I suspect that it is since it frees up doctor time for harder-to-diagnose and less routine things
