Why aren’t clonally transmissible rumors ubiquitous? If they occur by nose contact in Tasmanian devils, why not by skin contact in most animals (including humans)?

it would also be a great troll if sufficiently low sun exposure caused melanoma due to lack of competitors to cells that did mutate
