in unrelated news to anything, today is the second anniversary of the injury, caused by a prototype vr headset with a problem the people demoing rly should have anticipated, which has caused me to have a headache, literally nonstop if of varying intensity, for the last two years

headaches are always bad but it never really occurred to me before this how bad a headache that *never stops* would be. even a headache that moved around my head would maybe not be as bad as this one which is constant and in a single place

people keep asking so: they had modded a Gear headset and one of their additions was a vibrate function. turns out force feedback tightly strapped to your skull can cause a concussion with long-lasting effects after only a couple minutes of use

I've talked to several doctors, none of whom have been any help. They've alternately treated me for migraine, which I'm pretty sure is not what's happening, and that it will get better over time (it has… so slowly). Talking to sports injury people is an interesting option

if you ever figure out what exactly was damaged, I'd be very curious, because it's not something you'd expect purely from knowing the setup (e.g. could it be a standing wave built up somewhere and ruptured something)
