something I'd really like to see would be a "light-to-dark-theme" shader, like inverting display colors but smart enough to otherwise keep the color scheme and not turn black rectangles into blinding white

a bit like flux/redshift, but smarter about it, for example if it could come up with the twitter night mode on the fly I'd consider it usable

something I tried previously in gimp was to just invert the bright rectangles but leave dark ones alone, and then apply some sort of color curve, and it was surprisingly effective though ugly (it turns into a hard-ish color theory problem pretty quickly)
