Obviously, Maidstone wasn't a marginal. Anywhere with 5000 majority should have voted tactically. Now we will need ANOTHER election!

Hmmm, wouldn't have put it past the Fib Dems to jump into bed with Tories if they'd done well in terms of seats, so have to disagree.

If they had stood down, the Tories would likely have lost their Home Sec.Lib Dems getting in bed with them again would be political suicide.
