Seems like not wanting words to be taken out of context or used in inauthentic ways is not a political reason, rather a way to keep information as true as possible. The lab leak was always on the spectrum of possible, it was just on the unlikelier end…

That was obvious from the start.
I'm surprised people accepted that it was because of Chinese people eating wild meat so quickly.
At least the lab leak theory blames the government not the people.

No one “admitted” that. It’s the personal view of Alina Chan, a longtime advocate for investigation of the lab leak hypothesis. She may be right, but she’s just offering her assessment of how other scientists behaved, not admitting anything.
