    VCs are an intermediary between founders, who are disruptive, and LPs, who are institutional. When money had the leverage, the VCs looked more like LPs. Now that startups have the leverage, the VCs increasingly look like founders (or are founders).

    If it’s not obvious by now, all but a handful of VCs are going to get crushed by operators like Andreessen, Sacks and Rabois.

    I would build a system to make better decisions with data and feedback loops for better early stage products. it would be interesting to see if first time founders could get better with the process of an experienced founder

    it’s a simple filter for companies with product market fit e.g. Uber-> press button get car Linear -> painless fast issue tracking Twitter -> write pithy 💩 ...

    You need to be able to say what your startup does in 2-4 words. No one has the time or attention span for an elevator pitch anymore.

    entrepreneurs have scars. ask advisors to show them yours. otherwise they are just lottery winners

    At present our local startup ecosystem and conversations are led by armchair investors, employees at tech cos, retirees of large corporates & banks. There needs to be more power and focus back on folks who have at least founded some thing of value once. Not saiths or their kids
