All universities are not equal. I wouldn’t want someone taking care of me who had 600 hours of health policy only either.

It isn’t close to a physician’s hours, but during clinical rotations, I will be getting a little over 2000 hours hands on training. This is with a physician as my preceptor (I shadow only for the first half day to know where everything is, flow of things, etc).

I do everything by myself unless there is something I have a question on or I haven’t seen before (since I am still in school). We cover pediatrics, geriatrics, adults, OB/Gyn, etc.

I searched for this type of schooling, one that checks preceptors first, so I can provide better services to my patients when I graduate. I want to know what I am doing when I am with a patient and not do unnecessary things. But most universities don’t teach this way.
