Last tweet for me today: I find it pretty sad that Nancy Pelosi has chosen to use her incredible platform to belittle the accomplishments of 4 women of color who frankly did the work to be there and are doing their jobs. She’s being a bully and it’s really shitty. #YeahISaidIt
The FBI visited my house today. They arrested a man in Idaho on weapons charges who they believe was affiliated with white supremacist groups. They found my name on a list in his home, alongside others.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what we can do right now. Some food for thought.

Sooo I think we need to start having a serious conversation about this HIGHLY LIKELY scenario that win or lose, Trump will probably not concede the election. I’m worried that too many people just think that the goal is to get Trump out and get back to normal. A thread.

Ending police violence is a long game. It takes organizing. Protest to up the ante. Public and private pressure. Electoral organizing strategies. Telling new stories about us and what we are fighting for.
My heart breaks with all the stories I’ve heard this week about violence perpetrated against Asian folks here in the Bay. Nobody deserves to be hurt in this way. The truth is, for the last four years we’ve had a leader who has trafficked in racist stereotypes about Asians.

#IHadAWhiteFriend I grew up with. Went to birthday parties and bar mitzvahs and all that together. When I posted on Facebook about the one year commoration of Hurricane Katrina, he said “oh what are you complaining about you people got your President.” You people?!
What’s infuriating to me about is that the woman who pushed to illegally prosecute these boys is still with a job, making money, and has not been held accountable in any way. That $41 million settlement didn’t take a corrupt prosecutor out of a job.

I try really hard not to be enraged at these kind of inquiries. Protest for too many is a performance for someone else’s benefit — rest assured people are not facing tear gas to perform for you. They are sick and tired of being stripped of humanity and no one doing anything.

Imagine holding all that and watching as time and time again a black life is extinguished before our eyes, and the laws protect the killers.
I really wish the projections would stop. PEOPLE ARE STILL VOTING. Literally. We don’t need minute but minute nonsense that isn’t final. Stop freaking people out and talk to voters about their hopes and dreams.
Just to be clear: the DNC chairperson just said that while there may concerns about the ability of billionaires to buy the election, the best way to counter that is to vote. It’s statements like this from Tom Perez and others that make me VERY concerned about November.
