Besides, if times have “changed” — when was it ever ok for men to violate women’s personal space or not believe women who have been harassed? I’ll wait.

Sometimes standing with or by someone means making them better by holding them accountable when they don’t and didn’t do the right thing. Burying the bodies (or the stories as the case may be) is being complicit with the behavior. Let’s change those times.

If women are going to come together, and we are, let’s take this as a lesson that can make us more powerful together. No more throwing other women under the bus in order to stand by your man.

Let’s try this instead—he was wrong. He was wrong to wait until he wanted something to reach out and apologize for his role in that nonsense. He was wrong to violate a woman’s personal space and then to make jokes about it later on. And we are working to change that.

Imagine if we told women who were sexually assaulted to “move on” because dude has a good heart or means well. Cmon now. Do better.

Resisting change is dangerous for women’s lives. Telling women to move on from abusive treatment and abuses of power is dangerous and it’s wrong.

Telling folks they should “move on” when a man treats you wrong—whether it be coming up behind you and sniffing your hair, or doing you dirty during a Congressional hearing about a man who is your boss making sexual innuendos to you shows YOU haven’t changed.

Let’s be honest. Times haven’t “changed.” What’s changed is that women are no longer being silent about the shit we have been putting up with because we’ve had to.

Biden’s team keeps pumping this message about “times having changed” when pressed to address his personal space issues or his abysmal treatment of Professor Anita Hill—but it doesn’t seem like Biden’s team has changed with the “times.”

I would love to live in a world where women had each other’s backs. For real for real. And at this point I think if we’re still doing the whole “stand by your man” thing you may be on the losing team. I mean, that’s what we already have in the White House and I’m cool off it.

Really dope to see Patriots and Black Panther Party members together. This is a history that if you don’t know it, it’s important you learn it. Check out Hillbilly Nationalists — a book by my friends and — it’s a great primer on these kinds of alliances
