          Actually it's worth way more than that, since you can strip people of their welfare benefits once they can no longer vote. Remember, You only keep your rights. Your entitlements? Not so much.

          I was going to say assuming of course this also entails overhauling the election system to make votes national and thus fungible

          since buying a significant fraction of swing states would give insane leverage, but even then probably the market would balance things out

          so in effect "one ohio vote both costs as much and is as powerful as n wyoming votes" is just a more complicated case of votes are all the same

          err, to answer the question, no. if voting rights became alienable then I'd found or join a corporation focused on leveraged vote-buying
