this is "tech people" as distinct from "people who happen to be in tech" maybe but largely unimaginative, overly conventional, narrowly focused, small reference pools

I might just be salty from surveying local startups and finding little but service sector incrementalism, dubious b2b consultancy schemes, and "we put a blockchain on the blockchain"
