working file one sentence per line. for edit passes, copy to new file, open both with vertical splitscreen, join copy's lines to 80 char wide paragraphs

copy is easy reading, make all changes to the original, repeat copy/join as necessary

the only way to improve this would be if the reading copy auto-refreshed but that would require vimscript or writing my own editor probably

(I do think about writing my own editor more often than is safe)

basically I'd want standard vi plus: full undo tree, gracefully handle arbitrarily large files, vim buffers, new mode to manage views xmonad-style

basically. I wish I could use nvi but need syntax highlighting and good buffer system

I can live w/ nvi and ctags/cscope if I _had_ to (though I would miss tabs and syntax highlighting).
