        like they enumerate *everything*, it's super noticeable if you read anything in that sphere, but afaik there's no special regard for three like we have

        Doesn't the emphasis on twos and fours come from the disyllabic rhythmic nature of the language? Yin/yang is just one example, not the cause

        Fwiw most Indo-European music is in a duple meter and beats are most commonly split by two. Music for dancing is in triple meter though.
