do writers and editors still mostly "collaborate" by sending things back and forth and waiting for the other these days?

when I write I put each sentence on a line so I get pretty diffs, and this would also make merge conflicts tractable for multi-person things

If a person cant understand basic git workflow, then they arent a programmer. Its like an English prof who cant spell.

I think this already exists as a product, like one targeted towards this demo- but it's hard to get older writers/editors to change habits
