the right equivalent to occupy was the tea party, both had all the same grievances but incompatible worldviews/solutions
-
notice alt-right and antifi/feminist types both much more extreme. occupy and tea party both got fucked by the system and people radicalized
-
This is pretty accurate. It goes to show you how well the divide and conquer works. You dont even have to have opposing views to be an enemy.
-
more in thread here but divide and conquer not needed, left/right partisan malcontents would never alignhttps://twitter.com/alicemazzy/status/921436279274950656 …
-
may both hate the establishment but they have fundamentally incompatible constructions of reality from each other, destined for conflict
-
anyway offline alt-right shit like tiki scarathon 3000 falls into the same trap as occupy where decentralized "big tent" makes coherent messaging impossible
-
difference is occupy actually was dominated by syndicalists so they have political reasons for trying to organize like that, the right has no excuse
-
people swallowed leftist memes so hard they don't even realize what they're doing. a far-right movement should be organized on rightist lines
