I failed algebra in HS three times and still got over 760 on math SAT, and studying a few days was enough to test into precalc

the latter. at every school I've been to "college algebra" was a non-credit prereq for precalc

and precalc is a noncourse anyway. everything in it should have either already been taught, or is part of the Calc 1 flow
