Sorry, Silicon Valley isn't the only place on the planet where people have to make a trade-off between quality of housing and commute time.

Not saying local governments shouldn't be doing more for housing but Menlo Park is not the only option for people working at FB.

having lived in sf, ny, and austin, the bay area is unbelievably dysfunctional in a way other major american metros areas are not

between housing, public transit, and traffic, you can live in new york for half the cost and a third of the commute time
